Rex's Journal (top image): Got lost in the area of Heart Springs. Ritter and Joan were attempting to help me when I stepped on what I thought was a random pokémon's tail that was sticking through one of the walls. When the "pokémon" retaliated by punching through the fence, knocking Ritter off my shoulder, I punched back. Some blows were thrown ineffectually through the fence and I probably would have realized I was engaged with a person, considering the swearing, had a lucky punch not struck me in the eye.

I decided enough was enough and went THROUGH the fence to deliver an elbow strike to my aggressor. She, I later identified her as a VI Employee of some note, was sent flying, but her pokémon, apparently enjoying the springs as well, were unhappy about that and Joan and Ritter were quickly drawn into a fight, the first more than the latter who fairly leapt into the fray. After realizing I'd been trading swats with a person, who I had apparently knocked silly I realized the gravity of my error and rapidly collected my pokémon and fled. I had Ritter dethaw Joan later.

It occurs to me that since I initiated the confrontation by stepping on her tail I may be at fault for what happened were this to become a legal matter.

Today was boring, I was going to go to the local hot springs but chose to stay home instead and went nowhere at all.

Rex's Journal (bottom image): The Rextaurant is doing well. It's become a fixture of the area and we are gaining some regulars who I have enjoyed talking to on the shifts where I still have time to escape the kitchen or the office. I've hired a few new people and the Rextaurant is running almost without my need to poke my head in every once in a while. If I can just get my new manager to recognize the office as space she may use instead of my personal office things will be ideal, and I will be free to split my time between the restaurant and other activities freely.

Sidenote: I put a detector in the locker room to keep any of my employees from walking in on others of the opposite gender while they're changing. Only one incident of a lost card so far and no more complaints of intrusions. Very promising.

Sidenote 2: My pies have been popular enough that I am unable to keep up with demand. I've labelled them a special limited quantity item on the menu and now allow diners to call ahead to order entire pies to carry out. This has alleviated the rushes somewhat and keeps me ahead of the pie demand curve. I will have to pick an employee I can entrust my recipes to so they can be made in my absence.

Sidenote 3: Today's special to halve the cost of an order if the individuals brought in a picture of themself with an unconscious Wingull was costly but successful. Authorities asked me not to run such campaigns again.
